COMING UP IN 2014: A Preivew

As the year 2013 ends with great films as well as greater response and collections, the Indian film industry gears up for some more great packages for the upcoming year 2014 and here are the following  packages  which are worth being looked upon during the year:

THE “KHAN” CLASH: Three Khans, namely Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan will be dominating this year’s extremes with their respective films “Happy New Year” (October), “Jai Ho” (January) and “P K.” (June) at the Box Office where the interesting thing to look forward will be: Which film would be a better entertainer and which one would be a record setter worldwide.

PONGAL CLASH -“JILLA” AND “VEERAM”: Two mass entertaining actors of the Tamil film industry: Joseph Vijay and Ajith Kumar would be clashing at the Box Office on the South Indian festival of Pongal with their respective films “Jilla” and Veeram with the former co-starring the veteran actor Mohanlal. It will be worth a watch that who will be coming out with highest collection at the Box office.

VISHWAROOPAM 2: Slated for release on February 2014, the film is the sequel to the 2013 hit “Vishwaroopam” directed, written, co produced and performed by the veteran Indian actor Kamal Haasan. The bilingual film, would be also starring Waheda Rahman and Anant Mahadevan and according to the director, the film would be more slick and gripping than its prequel.

BOMBAY VELVET: Based on a novel by Gyan Prakash, the film directed by Anurag Kashyap, showcases the growth of the city of Mumbai (erstwhile Bombay)  and would be featuring Ranbeer Kapoor, Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma and Kay Kay Menon and is slated for release during the end of 2014. 

AI: Director Shankar and the famous Tamil actor “Chiyaan” Vikram joined hands with this film after their respective works 2 years back “Nanban” and “Thaandavam”, slated for April release, which also stars Amy Jackson and Suresh  Gopi and features the cinematography of the veteran P.C. Sriram and the music score by the Academy Award winning composer A.R. Rahman

UNTITLED N. LINGUSWAMY PROJECT: Currently titled as “Rowdy”, the film would be featuring one of the brilliant actors of contemporary South Cinema: Suriya Sivakumar where the cinematography is being done by Santosh Sivan, ASC, ISC where he is using the Red Dragon Digital Camera for the shooting, making the first film in the world for having being used the camera.

K. DHANUSH RAJA:  After wowing the Hindi audience with “Raanjhanaa” and continuing his success feat in Tamil industry with “Maryan”, the actor comes up with 3 releases in 2014, 2 in Tamil : “Velayilla Pattahari” and “Anegan” and one in Hindi directed by R. Balki (of “Cheeni Kum” and “Paa” fame) where he is sharing screen space with the legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan.

SATTENDRU MAARUTHU VAANILAI: After the 2010 Romantic cult film “Vinnaithandi Varuvaya”, director Gautham Vasudev Menon, music composer A. R. Rahman and actor Silambarasan team up again for this film. Initially titled as “Dhruva Nattachhattiram”, the film will be releasing during mid 2014.

 DULQUER SALMAAN AND NAZRIYA NAZIM:  The on-screen couple are coming up with their two releases this year: “Salala Mobiles”, slated for January release and “Vaai Moodi Pesavum”, slated for mid 2014 release which will be a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam and will also mark the return of actress Madhoo on screen after a hiatus.

SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS: Sequel to the 2006 sleeper hit “Pyaar Ke Side Effects”, the film would be featuring Farhan Akhtar, Vidya Balan and Purab Kohli and releasing on February 2014.

निधन / फ़ारूख शेख आपकी याद आती रही रात भर !

                                                               

           

हिंदी / उर्दू फिल्मों में ऐसे कम ही अभिनेत हुए हैं, जिनकी रूपहले परदे पर उपस्थिति मात्र एक सुखद और आत्मीय अहसास छोड़ जाती थी। पिछली सदी के छठे से आठवे दशक के नायक और चरित्र अभिनेता "फ़ारूख शेख" ने अपनी फिल्मों - गरम हवा, शतरंज के खिलाडी, गमन, नूरी, उमराव जान, चश्मे बद्दूर, बाज़ार, साथ साथ, कथा, रंग बिरंगी, सलमा, फासले, माया मेमसाहब, बीवी हो तो ऐसी और टेल मी ओ खुदा आदि में अपने सहज और स्वाभाविक अभिनय से दर्शकों के बीच अपनी एक अलग और बेहद प्यारी-सी छवि बनाई थी। 

फ़ारुख़ का जन्म मुम्बई के एक वकील मुस्तफ़ा शेख और फ़रिदा शेख के एक मुसलमान परिवार में जो बोडेली कस्बे के निकट नसवाडी ग्राम के निकट बड़ोदी गुजरात के अमरोली में हुआ। उनके परिवार वाले ज़मिंदार थे और उनका पालन पोषण शानदार परिवेश में हुआ। वो अपने घर के पाँच बच्चो में सबसे बड़े थे। वो सेंट मैरी स्कूल, मुंबई में पढ़ने गये और बाद में सेंट जेवियर्स कॉलेज, मुंबई गये। उन्होंने कनून की पढ़ाई सिद्धार्थ कॉलेज ऑफ़ लॉ में पूर्ण की।

फारुख शेख एक बेहतरीन अभिनेता के साथ-साथ एक बेहतरी इंसान भी थे, कल रात दुबई में 65 साल की उम्र में दिल के दौरे से उनका निधन फिल्मों की एक अपूरणीय क्षति है। फ़ारूख शेख को खेराज़-ए-अक़ीदत !

Drishyam (Malayalam movie) review

                                                                         

           

Drishyam (Malayalam): For the first time, Malayalam Cinema goes completely grey with this film directed by Jeethu Joseph, who continues his successful run this year after the August release "Memories", ending 2013 perfectly and the best part is that it has only 2 songs without any dancing around the trees stuff and placed well in the film. The film, shows inspiration from films like 2012 Tamil hit "Vazhukku Enn 18/9" and the Mexican film "After Lucia", is indeed a winner all the way due to four reasons: Its brilliant screenplay (Joseph) which shows a transition from the film being a family drama in the first half to being a mystery thriller brilliantly, which successfully grips you well, then comes the humane characters who well-showcase their shades of grey and their emotions, then comes the technical part where the cinematography by Sujith Vaassudev and the background music score by Anil Johnson shine well and then last but not the least, comes a splendid performance by Mohanlal or "Lalettan" as he is fondly called by his fans, who carries the film brilliantly on his shoulders and does justice to his role well. Despite the film being quite lengthy in the second half, Jeethu succeeds in making the audience stick to the seats with the film, which is even worth watching by even a Non Malayali too.

TOP 10 INDIAN ACTORS IN 2013

FARHAN AKHTAR:  No reason is required for the National Award winning filmmaker cum actor for this rank as his brilliant portrayal of the Legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh in the July release “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” was not only critically and publically acclaimed, but is also considered as one of the best portrayals of a famous personality on screen in Indian Cinema till date.

PRITHVIRAJ SUKUMARAN: For showcasing versatility  with sheer excellence  in four successful films this year : the National Award winning March release “Celluloid” as JC Daniel, the father of Malayalam Cinema , two summer blockbusters:  “Mumbai Police” as a Homosexual Police Officer , “Memories” as an heartbroken encounter specialist  and also in the Hindi film “Aurangzeb” as a faithful police officer son.

KASTHURI DHANUSH RAJA:  The National Award Winning actor successfully broke into the Hindi territory with the June release “Raanjhanaa” as a Selfless lover where he became the second Tamil actor after the legendary Kamal Haasan for gathering a huge fan following with his first film, making them forget the “Kolaveri Di” virus. He continued his successful journey with the July released Tamil film “Maryan” , brilliantly portraying the character of a Fisherman and an Oil Worker at Sudan in which he also wrote a song , composed by the Academy Award winning composer A. R. Rahman.  

KAMAL HAASAN: Despite controversies, the veteran and versatile filmmaker cum actor came up with the thriller “Vishwaroopam” in three languages: Tamil, Hindi and Telugu worldwide which he wrote, co produced, directed, acted in and even lent voice for few songs in the film. The film not only gained critical acclaim, but also was a box office success  crossing the 100 Crore Mark, making the masses grip and wait for the film’s sequel which is scheduled to release on February next year.

AAMIR KHAN:  For his splendid performance as the twin brothers in the film “Dhoom : 3” where he carried the film brilliantly on screen, making some twisty moments more interesting.  Being his second film with the Yash Raj Films after ‘Fanaa’ in 2006, the film not only broke the record of being the film having highest advance booking set by the film ‘Ek Tha Tiger” in 2012, but also was one of the top grossers of 2013.

DULQUER SALMAAN:  Son of the legendary Malayalam Superstar Mammooty, this talented and energetic actor kickstarted his career in 2012 with blockbusters like “Second Show” and “Ustad Hotel” and continued his successful feat this year with three blockbusters back to back “ABCD: American Born Confused Desi”, “Anja Sundarikal” and “Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi” where he kept his excellence alike.

IRRFAN KHAN: He continued his excellence in the September release “The Lunchbox”, playing the character of a widower and retired government worker, after his National Award winning performance in the 2012 Sleeper hit “Paan Singh Tomar, opening to heavy critical and mass acclaim worldwide.  

SOHUM SHAH: He produced the July release “Ship Of Theseus” and also acted in it as the stockbroker, who tries to fight for a worker’s justice in the third story of the film. The film as well as his performance was well received, with some national and international critics calling the film as one of the best cinematic imports from India till date.  The film was also a Sleeper hit at the box office.

JOHN ABRAHAM: Apart from his performance in the Box office grossers “Race 2” and even in the summer release “Shootout At Wadala” where his perfromance was crticially acclaimed too, the National Award winning producer cum actor produced and acted in the critically acclaimed August release “Madras Café” which was also a moderate success at the Box office.  Based on  Rajiv Gandhi assassination , apart from the film’s cinematography, editing and screenplay, the actor’s performance along with the supporting cast’s were widely acclaimed, making the film one of the finest films of his career till date.

SATISH NEENASAM: He showcased versatility with sheer brilliance in two different roles: As a Superstar and a Film Projectionist who falls prey to a specific pill in the September released Kannada blockbuster “Lucia” which also had won the Audience Award at the London Indian Film Festival 2012. 

TOP 10 INDIAN FILMS IN 2013

SHIP OF THESEUS (DIR: ANAND GANDHI):  This independent film explored questions of identity, justice, beauty, meaning and death through the stories of an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and an enterprising stockbroker, proving that a ship that has been restored by replacing all its parts remains the same ship. The film which took 3 years in it’s development, was appreciated nationally and internationally for it’s unconventional narrative as well as its cinematography, the intellectual content along with the performances, with many national and international critics calling it as one of the brilliant cinematic imports from India.

THE LUNCHBOX (DIR: RITESH BATRA):  Set in Mumbai, this film showcased the blossoming relationship between a widower and a troubled housewife through the “Dabbas” (Lunchbox) and the letters. The film, which was also shot in documentary style was appreciated for its beautiful depiction of romance and relationship problems set in a cosmopolitan city by the humane performances by the lead played by Irrfan, Nawazuddin and Nimrat Kaur, along with the screenplay , cinematography and editing which gave a canvas of pure European Cinema. The film also won the Critics Week Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2013.

PARADESI (DIR: P. BALA): Based on the book “Red Tea” by Paul Harris, the film depicted the enslaved tea planters of the Madras Presidency during the 1903’s showcasing neo realism within it’s narrative, along with its down to earth characters, great cinematography as well as music score within it’s dark frame. The film won a National Award and 2 Awards at the London International Film Festival 2013.

BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG (DIR: RAKYESH OMPRAKASH MEHRA):  This biopic on the Legendary Indian Athlete Milkha Singh was embraced by the masses for its brilliant depiction of the life and times of the Flying Sikh, with brilliant performances, especially by the protagonist played by Farhan Akhtar and it’s narrative which also focused on the youth empowerment.

DRISHYAM (DIR: JEETHU JOSEPH):  Despite its release along with the most awaited Hindi release “Dhoom:3”, this Malayalam film stood up well at the Box office as well as with the critics with its brilliant depiction on a family overcoming  various circumstances.  It’s brilliant storyline , cinematography, music score and performances by the lead, especially by the veteran Mohanlal, garned huge critical acclaim, making one of the best Malayalam films made till date.

MADRAS CAFÉ (DIR: SHOOJIT SIRCAR):  This slick thriller, based on the assassination of the erstwhile Indian prime minister Rajiv Gandhi  is loaded with great depiction of the terrorism and the political nexus, complimented with a taut screenplay, slick editing, excellent performances and beautiful cinematography.

CELLULOID (DIR: KAMAL): Celebrating the 100 years of Indian Cinema, this National Award winning Malayalam film focused on the life and times of the Father of Malayalam Cinema Sir JC Daniel,  with humane performances , especially by the lead played by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mamtha Mohandas, along with a great narrative, production design work and music score.

LUCIA (DIR: DINESH KUMAR): One of the rare Indian films made through crowd funding, this Kannada  film which also won the Audience Award at the London Indian Film Festival 2012 showcased the effect of a dream pill on a Superstar actor by amazing screenplay, beautiful cinematography and performances, setting a new milestone for the Kannada film industry.

VISHWAROOPAM (DIR: KAMAL HAASAN): Another high packed bilingual action thriller film by the veteran filmmaker cum actor Kamal Haasan focused on Global Terrorism, with great performance by the lead, especially by Haasan who continues to showcase his versatility in his acting. The film is complimented with a taut screenplay scripted by the director himself, the production design work and choreography for which it also earned the National Awards and well choreographed action sequences. The film found itself in controversies for its depiction on the Muslims, thus raising a question on the Freedom of Expression with many artists and people supporting the director and the film became a box office grosser with its sequel releasing in February next year.

TASHER DESH (DIR: QAUSHIQ MUKHERJEE): A quirky take on the play by the name same written by the legendary writer Sir Rabindranath Tagore by the director of the 2010 cult film ‘Gandu’, this fantasy Bengali film explored the journey of a disillusioned prince going to the land of cards where he brings on a revolution to its citizens. The film was widely appreciated for its experimental cinematography, music score and its execution of a play on screen and it was premiered at the 7^th Rome International Film Festival 2012.

क्या दिया इस सरकार ने हमे?

पहले घाव ओर फिर मरहम की बजाय लगाया गया नमक...........

देश को झोक दिया ऐसी भुकमरी की आग मे और कपिल सिब्बल द्वारा कह दिया गया कि ग़रीबो की वजह से महगाई बढ़ी क्योंकि पहले ग़रीब नमक से रोटी खा लेता था अब ग़रीब दो-दो सब्जी से रोटी ख़ाता है।
भारत की दयनीयता दिखाई गई तो कह दिया गया कि शहर मे २२ रुपये कमाने वाला ग़रीब नही ओर गाँव मे ११ रुपये कमाने वाला ग़रीब नही।
दिसंबर 2002 मे जो पेट्रोल 28.91 रुपय था, वही पेट्रोल 2014 तक आते आते 76.06 रुपये हो गया।
जनता ने अगर अपने लिए आवाज़ उठाई तो उस पर लाठियाँ बरसी ओर आँसू गॅस के गोले छोड़े गये।
उद्दंडता की सीमा तो तब पार हो गई जब दिल्ली मे भर पेट खाना 5 रुपये मे मिलने लगा।
तस्वीर केवल इतनी बदली कि जो नारा पहले आधी रोटी खिलाने का था वो अब पूरी रोटी मे बदल गया भर पेट खाना पता नही कब मिलेगा।
सारा देश लहुलुहान करके रख दिया और देश को एक बार फिर सोचने पर मजबूर कर दिया गया कि क्या लोकतंत्र मे हैं हम नागरिक? ये कैसा प्रजा तंत्र कि केवल प्रजा ही मरे।
मुझे कुछ चीज़े राजतंत्र की बड़ी ही अच्छी लगती हैं। जैसे जब पहले दो देशो या क्षेत्रों के मध्य युद्ध होते थे तो राजा को अपना रथ सबसे आगे
लेकर जाना होता था। राजा प्रजा को देखने के लिए पैदल भ्रमण करता था। केवल यही प्रक्रियाएँ आज भी लागू होती तो किसी देश का ये हाल ना होता।

Om Dar Ba Dar Review

                                                              

"Om Darbadar": This 1988 Hindi Cult Classic has surrealism, absurdist approach, satire, high end fantasy and a non linear narrative where somewhere, the structure is actually missing. The film which is now releasing in India through PVR Cinemas after 25 years, won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film in 1989 and made to many film festivals internationally has a touch of German Expressionism in terms of it's mise en scene, a touch of French Neo Wave in term of its editing and then the music score and dialogues, which are actually ahead of its times. The employing of the time lapse technique, sound in terms of the dialogues, radio conversations and music score and even the cinematography of the film are actually a great lesson for us. Apart from that, the best thing that the director employs the fantasies of the protagonist (brilliantly played by Aditya Jaisingh Lakhia, whom we know as "Kachra" of the 2001 classic "Lagaan")as per his own style, devoid of any other influence. Strictly recommended for an Intelligent Audience.

Biriyani (Tamil) : Review

Biriyani (Tamil) : Director Venkat Prabhu's diet (as it's called for the film), is a delicious fare but somewhere down the line, it's quite hard to digest from the director who gave us the 2011 grosser "Mankatha". The film, whose narrative follows the tracks of films like Hindi Cult Classic 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron' and the "Hangover" series, has a good screenplay (Venkat) in terms of its development, comic timing and some great twists, with few cliched moments, action scenes and even few songs which are actually easily avoidable. The performances by Karthi and Premji as well as their chemistry is great. Veteran Nasser, Sampath Raj and Uma Riyaz Khan are at their usual best. Hansika Motwani is good too. The background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the action direction by Silva, cinematography by Sakthi Sarvanan are another positive points of the film. Overall, despite few loopholes and the slow pace in the first half, the film scores being as a solid Christmas entertainer, making a must watch.

DHOOM 3 : Review

DHOOM 3 (Hindi) : The least I can say about this film is: DONT DARE TO GIVE THIS A MISS, especially by those who have been facing huge disappointments right from the "Himmatwalas" to the "Krisshs". Getting a huge lesson from his 2008 turkey "Tashan", director Vijay Krishna Acharya (also the dialogue writer of Mani Ratnam's films "Guru" and "Raavan"), comes up with a solid thrilling entertainer with yes...some logic as well as great gripping moments and twists and the best part is that despite few cliched moments,  weird stunts and even the inordinate length of the songs, the film will make you stick you to your seats. The film scores with its brilliant screenplay (Aditya Chopra and Acharya) and even the dialogues, which have some 'decent yet hitting'  punchlines, along with the cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee, choreography by Vaibhavi Merchant and various, stunts direction  by Sham Kaushal and Colnard Palmisano, editing by Ritesh Soni go brilliant hand in hand. Apart from that, for those who got disappointed by the music of the film, which actually love the songs when they see in the film , along with the background score (by Julius Packiam and Pritam). In the performances, hatsoff Shanoo Sharma for getting a compact star cast with the veteran Jackie Shroff doing a great job, along with Uday Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan who successfully spill magic with their chemistry this time. Though she doesnt have much work, but Katrina Kaif still makes her presence in the film well with her moves and performances. Last But Not the least, Aamir Khan delivers a show stealing performance, carrying the film brilliantly on his shoulders and he will make you adore with every of his move in the film. Putting its predecessors behind, overall, this all and all well made film is worth every of your penny, just dont miss it! A great entertainment is guaranteed!

बचपन में खिलाना

घोड़ा बन बच्चे को झुलाना,

बहार लेजा खिलौना दिलाना

फिर हँसता देख खुश हो जाना

उनकी लाठी बनने का

दिन वो आज आया है,

पिता बचपन से ही हर बच्चे का साया है !

सही रास्ता बता गलत

पर जाने से बचाना, 

गलती हो जाने पर

फिर ढाती लगाना,

संस्कार दे अच्छे

उसको अच्छा बनाना,

सही मार्ग दिखा

मंजिल तक पहुँचाना,

शिक्षा अच्छी देकर

पढ़ा लिखा बनाना,

हर मुश्किल से डट

कर लड़ना सिखाना,

पिता के प्यार से ही

उसने जीवन सफल बनाया है,

पिता बचपन से ही हर बच्चे का साया है !

यह कुछ पंक्तियाँ उनके लिए जो अपने माता पिता को छोड़ देते है बुढ़ापे में !

जो छोड़ देते है माँ बाप

को बनाकर कुछ बहाना

बाद में फिर उन्हें पड़

जाता है खुद पर ही पछताना

गलती कर बाद में

जीवन भर इसका बोझ उठाना

बार-बार गलतियों

पर अपनी गौर फरमाना

वो इन्सान सुखी नहीं

कभी रह पाया है

लेकिन फिर भी “पिता बचपन से ही हर बच्चे का साया है” !

एप्‍पल का नेक्‍ट जनरेशन हाईइंड स्‍मार्टफोन आईफोन 6 को लेकर कई तरह की खबरें और कांसेप्‍ट डिजाइन पॉपुलर हो रहीं हैं। हालाकि अभी आईफोन 6 की डिजाइन के बारे में किसी को कोई खास जानकारी नहीं है। लेकिन ईटेलियन एजेंसी सेट सॉल्‍यूशन ने आईफोन एयर कांसेप्‍ट डिजाइन निकाली है जिसमें आईफोन 6 को फेंसी लुक के साथ स्‍लीक डिजाइन दी गई है। कांसेप्‍ट फोन आईफोन एयर का साइज 6 एमएम है साथ ही इसका भार केवल 70 ग्राम है जो किसी भी स्‍मार्टफोन के मुकाबले काफी कम है। फीचरों पर नजर डालें तो ऐंजेसी के कांसेप्‍ट आईफोन एयर में टच आईडी फिंगरप्रिट स्‍कैनर के साथ 4 इंच की फुल एचडी स्‍क्रीन और 64 बिट चिपसेट, 2जीबी रैम दी गई है। आईफोन एयर में 16 जीबी ,32 जीबी और 64 जीबी इंटरनल मैमोरी ऑप्‍शन होंगे। 12 मेगापिक्‍सल के रियर फेसिंग केमरे के साथ एयर में मेटल चेंसिस और आईओएस 7 वर्जन ओएस होगा। उम्‍मीद की जा रही है एप्‍पल नए आईफोन 6 को सितंबर 2014 तक लांच कर सकता है।

भारत बेशक युवाओं का देश कहा जाता हो पर उत्तर प्रदेश मे अखिलेश यादव की न्यारी लीला से मेरा उत्तर प्रदेश केवल बेरोज़गारों का प्रदेश बनकर रह गया है। प्रदेश मे ना जाने कितनी सरकारी भार्तियाँ पिछ्ले कई वर्षों से अधर मे लटकी पड़ी हैं। राज्य सरकार केन्द्र सरकार के सिर ठीकरा फोड़ती रहती है ओर केद्र सरकार राज्य सरकार के सिर ठीकरा फोड़ती रहती है।
- पुलिस भर्ती की परीक्षा मे शामिल २० लाख अभ्यर्थीयों ने बेशक इतिहास रच डाला हो लेकिन इस बात को भी नकारा नही जा सकता क़ि बेरोज़गारों की संख्या कितनी है! - प्रदेश मे २०११ मे आई दारोगा सीधी भर्ती का कुछ अता पता नही यह लगातार हाई कोर्ट के फ़ैसलों के धक्के खाती रहती है। - वहीं २०११ मे आई शिक्षक भर्ती नित कोर्ट मे तारीख पर तारीख की भेंट चढ़ती दिख रही है। नौबत
यहाँ तक आ गई कि बेचारे बेरोज़गारों को अब तो विधान सभा के सामने ओर चौराहों पर अनशन और आंदोलन करना पड़ रहा है। बेचारे अपने ही हक के लिए भिखारियों की तरह भीख माँग रहे हैं। ग्यात हो कि प्रदेश मे लगभग सवा तीन लाख रिक्त पद हैं। सोचिए शिक्षक बिना शिक्षा का क्या हाल होगा? वो भी कुछ ही दिन मे लहुलुहान हो जाएगी सरकार इन मुद्दों को तो छोड़ो अन्य मुद्दों पर भी बस ताली बजाती नज़र आ रही है।
मुज़फ़्फ़र नगर दंगों मे पीड़ित लोगों के लिए लगे शिविर मे पर्याप्त चिकित्सक ना होने की वजह से हालिया  दिनों मे ३० से ज़्यादा बच्चे मौत की गहरी नींद सो गये। यहाँ किसी भी सुविधा के लिए कोई भी पुख़्ता इंतजामात नही। सरकार इन मामलों पर सोई हुई है और सपना देखती है प्रधानमंत्री पद का। मेरी दृष्टि से अखिलेश सरकार दो कौड़ी की भी सरकार नही। जो अपने आंतरिक मसलों को ना केवल सुलझा पाने मे असमर्थ है बल्कि उन मुद्दों पर चिर काल से निद्रा मे है। जिस सरकार से एक प्रदेश नही संभलता वो भला देश क्या चलाएगी!!!
अखिलेश जी लेपटॉप ओर बेरोज़गारी भत्ते का लोलीपोप किसी ओर को देना ये पब्लिक है सब जानती है। जनता काम मांगती है सरकार की आराम खोरी नही।

जयन्ती / भिखारी ठाकुर (18 दिसंबर) कहेले भिखारी नाई, सुन भोजपुरिया भाई !

                                                               

भोजपुरी माटी और भोजपुरी अस्मिता के प्रतीक भिखारी ठाकुर भोजपुरी के शेक्सपियर कहे जाते हैं। अपनी जमीन और अपनी जमीन की सांस्कृतिक और सामाजिक परम्पराओं तथा राग-विराग की जितनी समझ भिखारी ठाकुर को थी, उतनी किसी अन्य किसी भोजपुरी कवि में दुर्लभ है। बिहार के सारण जिले के कुतुबपुर गांव में एक गरीब नाई परिवार में जन्मे भिखारी ठाकुर को नाम मात्र की स्कूली शिक्षा प्राप्त हुई। किशोरावस्था में ही रोजगार की तलाश में वे खडगपुर और फिर जगन्नाथपुरी गए जहां साथियों के बीच गायकी का ऐसा चस्का लगा कि सब छोड़ छाड़कर घर लौटे आए। गाँव में दोस्तों के साथ उन्होंने रामलीला मंडली बनाई। रामलीला में सफलता मिली तो खुद नाटक और गीत लिखने और उन्हें मंचित करने लगे। नाटकों में सीधी-सादी लोकभाषा में गांव-गंवई की सामाजिक और पारिवारिक समस्याएं होती थीं जिनसे लोग सरलता से जुड़ जाते थे। लोक संगीत इन नाटकों की जान होती थी। फूहड़ता और अश्लीलता का कहीं नामोनिशान नहीं। 'विदेसिया' आज भी उनका सबसे लोकप्रिय नाटक है जिसमें एक ऐसी पत्नी की विरह-व्यथा है जिसका मजदूर पति रोजी कमाने शहर गया और किसी दूसरी स्त्री का हो गया। जिन अन्य नाटकों की उन्होंने रचना की, वे हैं - गबरघिचोर, भाई विरोध, बेटीबेचवा, कलयुग प्रेम, विधवा विलाप, गंगा अस्नान, ननद-भौजाई संवाद, पुत्र-वध, राधेश्याम बहार और द्रौपदी पुकार। उनकी नाटक मंडली का यश पहले बिहार और फिर देश के बाहर उन-उन जगहों पर पहुंचा जहां बिहार और पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश के लोग बसते थे। उनकी मंडली ने उत्तर भारत के शहरों के अलावा मारीशस, फीजी, केन्या, नेपाल, ब्रिटिश गुयाना, सूरीनाम, यूगांडा, सिंगापुर, म्यांमार, साउथ अफ्रीका, त्रिनिदाद आदि देशों की यात्राएं की और वहां बसे भारतीय मूल के लोगों को उनकी जड़ों से परिचित कराया। भोजपुरिया मिट्टी के लाल भिखारी ठाकुर की जयन्ती पर उन्हें हार्दिक श्रधांजलि, विदेसिया की कुछ पंक्तियों के साथ !

करिके गवनवा भवनवा में छोडि कर 

अपने परईलन पुरूबवा बलमुआ।

अंखिया से दिन भर गिरे लोर ढर ढर 

बटिया जोहत दिन बितेला बलमुआ।

गुलमा के नतिया आवेला जब रतिया 

तिल भर कल नाही परेला बलमुआ।

का कईनी चूकवा कि छोडल मुलुकवा 

कहल ना दिलवा के हलिया बलमुआ।

16 दिसंबर और जंतर मंतर.....

                                                                                

16 दिसम्बर के ही दिन पिछले वर्ष हमने मानवता पर हैवानियत का ऐसा प्रहार देखा था, जिसने हम सबको झकझोर के रख दिया, वहाँ से एक लड़ाई शुरू हुई जो घर से सड़क तक फिर एक क्रांति में बदल गई जिसमे हर कोई शामिल था वो जो परिवर्तन चाहते थे 

और वो भी जो बस टाइम पास के लिए सड़क पर आये आज उस घटना को पूरा एक साल हो गया है क्या बदला?????

शायद इसी सवाल के साथ या अंदर से एक आवज़ आई और मेरे कदम आज फिर जंतर मंतर की ओर बड़ गए पर इस बार नज़ारा काफी अलग था जैसे:-

भारतीय लोकहित मोर्चा, भारतीय महिला फेडरेशन, मंगल विमेंस क्लब, सिटीजन आर्टिस्ट ग्रुप, राष्टीय गोरक्षा परिषद्, प्रगति महिला शक्ति संगठन, फोडशन ऑफ़ राजधानी क्लीनिकल, अनुसूची जाति/जनजाति संगठन, जस्टिस फॉर मुज़फ्फरनगर रायट विक्टिम्स, जनतंत्र मोर्चा, पेंशन परिषद्, भारतीय आदिवासी महार गौड़ घुटिया महापंचायत, मछुवारा समाज ,भारतीय निषाद एकता परिषद् (कोई समूह मेरी नज़र से बच गया हो तो माफ़ी ),बहोत भीड़ थी ये सभी समूह अपने अपने मुद्दो को लेकर यहाँ इक्क्ठा हुए थे सब बड़े बड़े भाषणो से अपनी बात बड़ चढ़ कर रख रहे थे,शायद अब हम लोग अपने हक़ के लिए सड़को पे उतरना सीख़ रहे है |

इस भीड़ में निसंदेह मेरे आखें उन मोमबत्तियों को ढूंढ रही थी जो पिछले साल हम में से कोई लोगो ने मिलकर जलाई थी वो मुझे मिली भी उन मोमबत्तियों में अब भी वही गरमी थी जो पिछले साल थी इन की तपन अब भी वैसी ही थीजो बार बार चीख़ कर मानों कह रही थी की "सुनो हम हर साल यहाँ जलेंगे तब तक जलेंगे जब तुम हमारी आवाज़ सुन नहीं लेते तब तक जलेंगे जब तक हमारी आवाज़ बस एक दिन इस 16 दिसम्बर की मोहताज न हो तब तक जलेंगे जब तक ये आवाज़ जंतर मंतर, इंडिया गेट के आलावा कही और से भी सुनी जा सके "ये मोमबत्तियां जल्द बुझने वाली नहीं है

"दामिनी" रास्ता दिखा चुकी है वक़्त के साथ इनकी तपन बढ़ेगी तब ये ना किसी दिन की मोहताज होंगी ना किसी जगह की क्यों नाहम सब भी एक शुरुआत करे एक मोमबती हमारी भी, एक आवाज़ हमारी भी कब तक लड़कियों का रात में निकलने से पहले सोचना पड़ेगा?? उनकी सुरक्षा चार दीवारी ?? शुरआत खुद से करने की जरुरत है ये समाज़ भी शायद तभी बदलेगा ,बेशक वक़्त लगेगा पर शुरुआत हो ...........

"दामिनी को श्रद्धांजलि"

स्वतंत्रता-संग्राम, 1857 के विस्मृत नायक - 2 मौलवी अहमदुल्लाह शाह

                                                                               

भारतीय इतिहास के एक अन्य विस्मृत नायक मौलवी अहमदुल्लाह शाह 1857 के स्वाधीनता संग्राम के वे महान सेनानी थे जिन्हे अंग्रेजी हुकूमत कभी परास्त नहीं कर सकी। फैज़ाबाद के एक ताल्लुकदार परिवार में जन्मे अहमदुल्लाह साहब हैदराबाद में शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के बाद बहुत कम उम्र में ही लेखक और धार्मिक उपदेशक बन गए थे। उनकी धार्मिक शिक्षाओं में विदेशी हुकूमत और शोषण के विरुद्ध धर्म-युद्ध भी शामिल था। वे क्रांतिकारी पर्चे निकालते थे और गांव-गांव घूमकर लोगों को अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ जेहाद के लिए प्रेरित करते थे। जब1856 में वे लखनऊ पहुंचे तो पुलिस ने उनकी क्रांतिकारी गतिविधियों रोक दिया। प्रतिबन्ध के बावज़ूद जब उन्होंने लोगों को आज़ादी की लड़ाई के लिए उकसाना बंद नहीं किया तो 1857 में उन्हें फैज़ाबाद में गिरफ्तार कर जेल में डाल दिया गया। जेल से छूटने के बाद उन्होंने लखनऊ और शाहजहांपुर में अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ विद्रोह की आग भड़काने में अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई। स्वतंत्रता-संग्राम के दौरान मौलवी साहब को विद्रोही स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों की उस 22 वीं इन्फेंट्री का प्रमुख नियुक्त किया गया जिसने चिनहट की प्रसिद्द लड़ाई में हेनरी लारेन्स के नेतृत्व में ब्रिटिश सेना के साथ अभूतपूर्व युद्ध लड़ा था। इस युद्ध में ब्रिटिश सेना बुरी तरह परास्त हुई थी। युद्ध के बाद उन्हें जीते जी ब्रिटिश इंटेलिजेंस और पुलिस नहीं पकड़ सकी। अपनी वतनपरस्ती, अप्रतिम साहस और विलक्षण युद्ध-कौशल के कारण अपने जीवन-काल में ही वे किंवदंती बन गए थे। लोगों का मानना था कि उनमें कोई ईश्वरीय या जादुई शक्ति थी जिसके कारण अंग्रेजों द्वारा उन्हें हराना या मार डालना असम्भव था। हुकूमत को उनपर पचास हजार का इनाम घोषित करना पड़ा था। इसी इनाम की लालच में पावयन के अंग्रेज-परस्त राजा जगन्नाथ सिंह ने उन्हें अपने घर पर आमंत्रित कर 5 जून, 1858 को धोखे से गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी। स्वाधीनता संग्राम के इस महान सेनानी के बारे में देश का इतिहास लगभग चुप है जिसके बारे में तत्कालीन ब्रिटिश अफसर थॉमस सीटन ने लिखा था - 'a man of great abilities, of undaunted courage, of stern determinations and, by far, the best soldier among the rebels.'

आज़ादी के विस्मृत नायक मौलवी अहमदुल्लाह शाह को लाखों सलाम !
