American Hustle (English): Review

American Hustle (English): This Golden Globe Award winning film which will be releasing in India this weekend is indeed a great cinematic treat worth looking out for. The film, which has shades of works by directors like Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola and even Quentin Tarantino, has its heart at its place and is loaded with a well-written screenplay (David O. Russell and Eric Singer) which not only entertains you but also makes you stick to your seat, with only few minutes in between going waste within the film's coarse. Then the editing by Alan Baumgarten, Jay Cassidy and Crispin Struthers successfully build up the intensity and suspense in few of the film's sequences. The production designing work by Judy Becker and music score by Danny Elfan assures you of making you back into the '70's. The performances by the lead, especially by Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Hooper, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner are great and well portrayed. Overall, a well-narrated film with a great graph and good twists, worth a watch.
